One dead following solo-vehicle collision on US 24 in Peoria County

PEORIA COUNTY, IL – A single-vehicle crash on US 24 in Peoria County claimed a man’s life Saturday, Central Illinois Proud revealed.  The collision occurred around 2 pm. For reasons unknown, the driver of the Black Ford Edge crossed lanes and crashed into a ditch.  The driver succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead.

Runner hospitalized after getting hit by off-duty Chicago Police officer near Butler Field

CHICAGO, IL – A man was hospitalized after he ran across South DuSable Lake Shore Drive and was hit by a car Wednesday.  The collision occurred around 11:30 pm, ABC 7 Chicago revealed. The driver who hit the pedestrian was identified as an off-duty Chicago officer. However, Chicago Police declined to release the driver’s name.
