4 children, 1 woman suffer injuries from Chicago car crash

CHICAGO, IL – A car collision in the Dunning neighborhood left around six people injured around 6 pm Sunday, NBC Chicago reported. 

The crash happened near West Irving Park Road and Narragansett Avenue. According to Chicago police, a Honda SUV driver was responsible for hitting an Acura SUV driver after running a red light. 

The Honda SUV driver, a 61-year-old man, was ticketed for disobeying a traffic signal. It is unclear if he sustained injuries. However, a 40-year-old woman sustained unspecified injuries and was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. 

Four children – 2,5,8, and 12 – suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
