CHICAGO, IL – A car crash outside of a Chicago restaurant left six people injured around 10:30 pm Friday, NBC News reported.
Uproar, the restaurant’s name, is located at 1252 N Wells St. According to the Chicago Fire Department, a silver Lexus sedan attempted to pass a Toyota Prius going in the same direction. The sedan could not pass the Prius and ended up sideswiping the car.
The Sedan driver lost control, and it struck the curb, colliding with the six people that were dining outside on the patio. A 24 and 26-year-old woman suffered broken legs and was taken to a hospital in critical condition. In addition, a 26-year-old woman and a 26 and 32-year-old man were transported to St Mary’s for non-life-threatening injuries.
One person refused treatment. The Lexus driver fled the scene. According to authorities, the Lexus was a stolen vehicle. No arrests have been made for the Lexus driver in this ongoing investigation.
There have been no reports of exterior damage to the restaurant.
