One dead, another seriously injured from crash in Bronzeville

CHICAGO, IL – One suffered life-threatening injuries, and another died in the Bronzeville district Saturday. 

CBS Chicago said the crash happened before 2 am at the 5100 block of South State Street. A pickup truck driver drove through a red light and hit a driver of a white SUV. 

The pickup truck driver, an 18-year-old man, was unharmed. 

Two people from the SUV were transported to a hospital. One is in critical condition, and the other person, a 46-year-old woman, succumbed to her injuries and died.
