Two people were injured due to a head-on crash on Lake Shore Drive in Decatur on Tuesday, November 29th. Decatur Police said the driver of Traffic Unit 1 was traveling east on Lake Shore Drive. As she approached another vehicle wanting to make a left turn onto Silas Street, she collided with the driver of Traffic Unit 2 head-on. The driver of Traffic Unit 2, a 43-year-old man, was hospitalized for unspecified injuries. The driver of Traffic Unit 1, a 44-year-old woman, suffered severe, life-threatening injuries.
