One life was claimed following a single-vehicle crash in the area of 81st Street and Beloit Avenue in Bridgeview around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8th. The driver of Traffic Unit 1 was coming from a hospital when he experienced a medical episode and lost control of his pickup truck. As a result, he crashed into the pool. The 71-year-old man, whose name was not released, was taken to an Oak Lawn hospital, where he died from his injuries.
