Narrative
CHICAGO, IL – A two-vehicle crash in western Chicago killed two people and injured three others early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 3:04 a.m. at the intersection of the westbound Eisenhower Expressway near South Damen Avenue, which is just north of the John H. Stronger Hospital of Cook County.
Police haven’t yet shared any details about what happened except to say that a pedestrian was killed in the accident along with one other person. Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims.
Medics transported three people to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Officials closed the westbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway for around five hours while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
