COOK COUNTY, IL – A fiery car slammed into a Cook County hair salon around 6:45 pm Saturday, Southwest Regional Publishing reported.
Scissor Hands, the hair salon, is located at 10822 S. Cicero Ave in Oak Lawn.
The Nissan Altima, driving south on Cicero Avenue, caught fire because it was experiencing mechanical problems, which caused the engine to catch fire.
The Nissan Altima driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the hair salon, which damaged the exterior and interior with fire.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames. Authorities reported no injuries from the Nissan Altima driver or others from the salon and surrounding areas.
