Girl, 13, dies days following Sunday car crash in Chicago

CHICAGO, IL – A teenage girl died Wednesday at an Oak Lawn hospital after suffering injuries from a Sunday afternoon car crash.

ABC 7 Chicago said she was 13 and died at Advocate Christ Medical Center. The car crash took place at the 1600 block of West 87th Street.

According to police officials, the girl rode in a Sedan going east. The Sedan driver hit an SUV that made a turn from Ashland Avenue. The Sedan driver, a 51-year-old man, was transported to Little Company of Mary Hospital.

Following the crash, the girl, Sedan driver, and three others were taken to the hospital for unspecified injuries.

The crash is an ongoing investigation.
