Man, 57, killed in single-vehicle crash in Naperville

NAPERVILLE, IL – A 57-year-old Bolingbrook man was killed after his car crashed into a pole Saturday afternoon.

NBC Chicago said he was traveling South on Plainfield-Naperville Road near Leverenz way. For an unknown reason, his car went off the road on Gateshead Drive. After driving off course, the man’s car collided with a pole, and debris from the crash hit other vehicles, Naperville Police said.

Plainfield and Naperville Roads were blocked off to traffic Saturday. Law enforcement said the man died on the scene. 

The investigation is ongoing. Officials request any drivers who witnessed the collision to contact the Naperville Police Department at 630-305-5477.
