Narrative
One person was hospitalized after a two-car crash at the intersection of North Illinois Route 251 and East Linden Road in Lindenwood before 6:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5th. Olge County deputies said the driver of Traffic Unit 1 was under the influence of alcohol and declined to stop at the stop sign. As a result, the driver of Traffic Unit 1 collided with Traffic Unit 2. The driver of Traffic Unit 1 was identified as Andrew Sampson, 31, of Lindenwood. Sampson was unharmed and was arrested for a DUI and charged with failing to stop at an intersection and with failure to reduce speed. The driver of Traffic Unit 2 was identified as Renee Rowe, 51, of Rockford. Rowe was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
