CHICAGO, IL – A man was hospitalized after he ran across South DuSable Lake Shore Drive and was hit by a car Wednesday.
The collision occurred around 11:30 pm, ABC 7 Chicago revealed. The driver who hit the pedestrian was identified as an off-duty Chicago officer. However, Chicago Police declined to release the driver’s name.
The pedestrian is expected to survive. Chicago Police said the driver tried to stop but could not avoid hitting the man. The off-duty officer will not be charged.
