Tinley Park woman dies in solo-vehicle crash in Lake County

LAKE COUNTY, IL – A car crash left a 29-year-old woman dead in Lake County Saturday morning, Lake & McHenry County Scanner reported

The collision occurred around 2:08 am at Lake Cook Road. Illinois State Police officials said the woman was thrown from her car and suffered life-threatening injuries.

The woman died on the scene after she slammed her white 2010 Infiniti G37 sedan into an inner bridge wall on I-294 near Deerfield.

State Police are unsure as to why the driver lost control of her car and hit the wall. No passengers were traveling with her, and no other vehicles or people were involved in the collision.

Law enforcement has not released the woman’s identity, and an autopsy has been scheduled.

The northbound lanes on the I-294 were closed and reopened after several hours Saturday.
