Woman hit by car from crossing street in South Loop

CHICAGO, IL – A 21-year-old woman suffered significant injuries after a car ran her over in the South Loop district Sunday night.

According to Fox 32 Chicago, the woman was crossing Ida B. Wells Drive at approximately 11:50 pm when a Honda Sedan hit her. Law enforcement said the driver was a 54-year-old man.

Officials said the pedestrian was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for life-threatening injuries. 

The case is under ongoing investigation.
